The Jalilabad District Police Department has conducted a successful operation targeting the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the region.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, law enforcement officers detained two suspects: 35-year-old Ruslan Guliyev and 36-year-old Tural Hajiyev. Both individuals had prior criminal records.
During the search, authorities confiscated a total of 18 kilograms of marijuana and methamphetamine. A criminal case has been initiated, and both suspects have been placed in pre-trial detention as the investigation continues.
This operation is part of the ongoing, nationwide efforts by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan to combat drug trafficking. The Azerbaijani government maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding the illegal distribution of narcotics, frequently conducting specialized operations across the country to dismantle criminal networks and ensure public safety.
