More than 470 Chinese citizens have been successfully evacuated from Iran since the commencement of military operations in the country.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Xinhua, that Mao Ning, a spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced this during a press briefing.
According to the spokesperson, following the escalation of the situation in Iran, China has repeatedly appealed to relevant parties to ensure the safety and security of its citizens located in Iran and neighboring countries. The country's embassies and consulates in Iran and adjacent regions are working around the clock to facilitate the evacuation and provide necessary assistance to Chinese citizens.
The evacuation efforts come amid heightened regional tensions and military activity that have prompted several nations to advise their citizens to leave the area. China maintains significant economic and diplomatic ties with Tehran, and the safety of its expatriate community remains a top priority for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Such large-scale evacuation operations are typically coordinated through the Chinese government's emergency response mechanisms to ensure the orderly departure of personnel from conflict zones.
