“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning made the remarks.
“At this stage, the US demand that China take part in so-called talks on nuclear disarmament is unfair, unfounded and unrealistic,” she said.
Mao was responding to US President Donald Trump’s remarks that Washington was discussing reductions in nuclear arsenals with Moscow and Beijing. China and the United States are among the world’s major nuclear powers, while Russia also maintains a large nuclear arsenal.
