North Korea launched several short-range ballistic missiles toward the Yellow Sea on Tuesday.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing South Korea's Yonhap news agency and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, that the missiles were detected originating from the Jeongju area in North Pyongan Province.

According to the South Korean military's analysis, the flight range of the missiles did not exceed 300 kilometers. Official Seoul stated that it is closely monitoring the situation in the region and has strengthened its military readiness in response to the launches.

This development follows a previous incident on April 19, when North Korea launched several short-range ballistic missiles from the Sinpo area toward the Sea of Japan. Such missile tests by Pyongyang continue to fuel regional tensions and draw scrutiny from the international community over violations of United Nations Security Council resolutions.
