New details have emerged about the killing of a 24-year-old woman in the Bina settlement in Baku’s Khazar district.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the incident took place near the cafe where Fatima Rahmanzade, born in 2002, worked.
The suspect, Museyib Ahmadov, born in 1986, was detained by police.
How did the incident happen?
According to the report, Museyib Ahmadov, who lived in the Sulutapa settlement, divorced his family two years ago. He later met Fatima Rahmanzade, who was renting a home in the same settlement.
After some time, they began a relationship and started living together. Ahmadov lived with her in the home she was renting.
The report says an argument broke out between them several days ago, after which Museyib did not return home.
On the day of the incident, he returned to the home. When he found Fatima was not there, Ahmadov called her but received no answer.

He then went to the cafe where the woman worked.
According to the report, Ahmadov encountered Fatima at a bus stop near the cafe. She asked him to end the relationship and not to bother her again.
An argument followed. Ahmadov allegedly stabbed Fatima repeatedly with a knife he was carrying.
The severely injured woman was taken to hospital, but doctors were unable to save her.
Suspect’s social media posts emerge
Posts Museyib Ahmadov had shared on his social media account before the incident have drawn attention following the crime.
The posts reportedly included threatening and revenge-related statements.
His account reportedly contained the following phrases: “I’ll hit you like this too; I told you anyway, you made me do it,” “If I don’t take a life, I won’t give mine,” “It’s true, one must cleanse one’s honor like this,” and “There are only a few days left; I will take my revenge.”
Investigators are expected to establish whom these posts were directed at and whether they were directly connected to the incident.
However, the posts indicate that threatening messages had appeared on social media before the incident.
