On Oct. 6, the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency (ADSEA) said repairs to a main water pipeline would interrupt water supplies in some areas of the Absheron, Binagadi, Sabunchu, Khazar, Surakhani and Pirallahi districts.
Water supply was expected to resume on the morning of Oct. 7, but service had not yet been restored.
Residents have submitted complaints about the disruption.
They said they had been without drinking water for two days.
ADSEA said repairs to the main water line had taken several hours longer than planned because of the area’s terrain:
“The repairs have now been completed, welding work on the network has been finished, and the line is being filled with water. Water supply will be restored to addresses in stages during the day, in line with the previous schedule.” (oxu.az)
