Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has indicated a willingness to consider a 15-point plan for Gaza, an initiative proposed by Jared Kushner, advisor and son-in-law of US President Donald Trump. According to reports from Israeli media, this development follows a telephone conversation between Netanyahu and Kushner held last week.
As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, sources suggest that during the discussion, Netanyahu expressed skepticism regarding the likelihood of Hamas voluntarily surrendering its weapons. Despite these reservations, he signaled a readiness to evaluate the proposed framework.
Under the terms of the potential arrangement, Israel would reportedly commit to reducing airstrikes in Gaza and halting the advancement of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) beyond a designated "Yellow Line." The Gaza Peace Council has urged Israel to adopt the plan, requesting that the military maintain current positions along the "Yellow Line" and refrain from opening fire unless soldiers face an immediate, direct threat.
However, the situation remains fluid. In a public statement yesterday, Prime Minister Netanyahu clarified that Israel has not formally accepted the 15-point plan. He reiterated that Israel will not withdraw from Gaza until Hamas is completely disarmed. Nevertheless, Netanyahu emphasized that high-level diplomatic consultations with the United States are ongoing to address the security challenges in the region.
The ongoing conflict in Gaza, which escalated following the October 7 attacks, remains a focal point of international diplomacy.
