On June 26, to mark the 108th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, military orchestra marches will be held along the central streets and avenues of Baku.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Baku City State Traffic Police Department has issued an official statement regarding the event.
It was noted that military personnel will march along the following routes from 10:00 to 12:00:
- I route: Heydar Aliyev Palace - Bulbul Avenue - Nizami Cinema Center - Neftchilar Avenue - Azadlig Square – Sea Station;
- II route: Alley of Martyrs – "Flame Towers" Complex – Chambarakand Park - "Icherisheher" metro station - Gala Gate - Azerbaijan State Puppet Theatre - Azneft Circle - Bahram Gur statue;
- III route: Q. Musabayov Park - Abdurrahim bey Haqverdiyev Street - Huseyn Javid Avenue - Huseyn Javid Park - Parliament Avenue - Alley of Martyrs;
- IV route: "Olympic Star" Sports and Entertainment Center - Samad Vurgun Street - Officers Park - Baku State Circus - Heydar Aliyev Palace - Imadaddin Nasimi statue - Neftchilar Avenue;
- V route: Nariman Narimanov statue - Central Park - Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theatre - Winter Park - Heydar Aliyev Palace - Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan - 28 Mall Shopping Center;
June 26 is celebrated annually in Azerbaijan as Armed Forces Day, commemorating the formation of the national army in 1918. This day serves as a significant national holiday, highlighting the country's military strength and sovereignty.
"Drivers and other road users are requested to plan their movements in advance on the specified date, take into account possible congestion in the indicated directions, and use alternative roads," the statement emphasized.
