Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian President's special representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, has highlighted the humanitarian efforts of US First Lady Melania Trump.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Dmitriev stated on his social media account that Melania Trump has played a significant role in the process of reuniting Russian and Ukrainian children with their families.

He noted that with the support of the First Lady, 33 children have been reunited with their families to date, with plans to continue these efforts. Dmitriev characterized the First Lady's involvement as a vital component of broader global humanitarian and peacekeeping initiatives.

According to information released by the White House, Melania Trump has supported the efforts of the fifth group tasked with returning children to their families, emphasizing the importance of setting aside political differences for humanitarian causes. Melania Trump has stated that the interests of children must take precedence over international tensions, and that diplomacy, compassion, and family values should remain central to this process.

It is worth noting that on April 29, during a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, the Russian leader congratulated Melania Trump on her birthday and praised her active involvement in the initiative to return children to their families.

The issue of children displaced during the ongoing conflict remains a complex humanitarian challenge. International observers and various diplomatic channels have increasingly focused on the reunification of families as a critical step in addressing the human cost of the war, with high-profile figures often leveraging their platforms to facilitate these sensitive negotiations.
