Manchester City beat Sunderland 5-3 in an eight-goal thriller on Sunday to move three points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Enzo Fernandez opened the scoring in the ninth minute, catching goalkeeper Robin Roefs off guard with a near-post free kick from a tight angle.
Sunderland equalised three minutes later when Brian Brobbey lifted the ball over Gianluigi Donnarumma after receiving a pass from Enzo Le Fee behind City's defence.
Brobbey completes hat trick
Rayan Cherki restored City's lead in the 29th minute with a low finish through a crowded penalty area. Brobbey struck again four minutes later to make it 2-2.
Antoine Semenyo put City ahead for a third time in the 43rd minute, firing home after Marc Guehi won the ball at the back post.
Semenyo extended City's advantage in the 57th minute with another low finish, but Brobbey completed his hat trick just two minutes later to reduce Sunderland's deficit to 4-3.
Haaland seals City victory
Erling Haaland sealed the win in the 81st minute, sliding in to convert Josko Gvardiol's cross after the VAR referee overturned an initial offside decision.
The result extended Manchester City's perfect start to the Premier League season and put them three points clear at the top of the table.
