Germany coach Jürgen Klopp has shared his thoughts on the team’s upcoming match against Greece in the group stage of the UEFA Nations League.
Klopp said the match was highly important for his side and that they would face a difficult test away from home. He said the packed stadium would make the game tense, with not only the weather but also the atmosphere in the stands adding to the intensity.
“This match is very important for us, but we understand that it will be incredibly difficult in Greece, in a packed stadium. It will be hot there not only because of the weather, but also because of the atmosphere in the stands. We will do our very best, but no one can take today’s match away from us now. We have a starting point, but there is still a long road ahead,” Klopp said in comments to UEFA’s official website.
Germany beat Serbia 2-0 in the previous round. Bischoff scored in the 39th minute, and Florian Wirtz added a second in the 61st.
Germany will face Greece on Oct. 4 in the next round of the group stage.
