A high-level delegation from Kazakhstan, including Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev and Transport Minister Nurlan Sauranbayev, visited the Alley of Martyrs in Baku to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the guests laid flowers at the graves of the fallen heroes and placed a wreath at the Eternal Flame memorial. During the visit, the delegation observed the panorama of the capital from the city's highest point, where they were briefed on the history of the Alley of Martyrs and the extensive landscaping and construction work currently being carried out across Baku. The delegation also visited Victory Park, where they laid a wreath in front of the memorial to honor the victory and the restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty.

The visit takes place within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, two key partners in the Turkic world. Both nations share deep historical, cultural, and economic ties, frequently collaborating on strategic regional projects such as the Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route). Such high-level visits underscore the mutual respect for national history and the growing strategic partnership between Baku and Astana.
