Jared Kushner, son-in-law and senior advisor to US President Donald Trump, has positively assessed his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin held on September 5.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing reports from The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Kushner characterized the discussion as constructive.
“It was a very good dialogue. We asked many questions, and he, in turn, addressed numerous questions to us,” Kushner noted.
The meeting between the American delegation and Vladimir Putin reportedly lasted more than three hours. Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, the US President's special envoy, have conducted recent visits to both Moscow and Kyiv as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts.
Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian President, clarified the primary objectives of the meeting. According to Ushakov, the discussions focused on obtaining information regarding the outcomes of contacts held between the United States and representatives from Ukraine and European nations.
These high-level diplomatic shuttles underscore the active role the current US administration is taking in addressing regional security concerns and facilitating communication channels between major global powers.
