Yaponiya İranın vəziyyəti ilə bağlı narahatlığını rəsmən bildirdi

The Japanese government is closely monitoring developments surrounding Iran and expresses hope that further escalation will be avoided.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this statement was made by Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara during a regular press conference.

"The government is monitoring the exchange of strikes between the US and Iran with high concern. According to available information, negotiations for the signing of a preliminary memorandum of understanding between the parties are ongoing, and we hope that the situation will not escalate further," he noted.

Kihara emphasized that Tokyo intends to continue its diplomatic efforts in close cooperation with the international community to achieve a swift resolution to the conflict.

Japan, which relies heavily on energy imports from the Middle East, has historically maintained a delicate diplomatic balance in the region. Tokyo often leverages its long-standing ties with both Western powers and regional actors to advocate for stability, as any disruption in the Middle East directly impacts Japan's economic security and global energy supply chains.
