The Embassy of Israel in Baku has extended its congratulations to Azerbaijan on the occasion of May 28 – Independence Day.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the embassy shared a post on its official X account regarding the celebration.
"Happy Independence Day, dear Azerbaijan! We extend our sincere congratulations to the people and government of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Independence Day. We highly value the existing friendship and cooperation between Israel and Azerbaijan and wish Azerbaijan continued prosperity, strength, and well-being," the statement read.
Israel and Azerbaijan maintain a strong strategic partnership, characterized by deep cooperation in various sectors, including energy, agriculture, and high technology. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two nations have consistently fostered ties based on mutual respect and shared interests, with Israel being one of the first countries to recognize Azerbaijan's independence in 1991.
