Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has issued a stern warning to Iran regarding regional security and potential aggression.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Israel's Channel 14, the Defense Minister addressed the ongoing tensions between the two nations during a television interview. Katz emphasized that any attempt by Iran to launch an attack against Israel would result in severe consequences.
"If Iran attacks Israel, it will face a devastating strike, and they know this very well," Katz stated.
During the interview, the Minister also criticized local media for allegedly failing to adequately report on the military achievements of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). He affirmed that the government remains committed to ensuring these operational successes are communicated to the public.
The report also highlights concerns among Israeli security officials regarding the strategic approach of the United States. Discussions in the Israeli media have touched upon potential US actions against Iran, noting that Israel has raised its defense readiness to the highest level. These developments occur against the backdrop of ongoing geopolitical shifts in the Middle East, where US President Donald Trump has recently signaled that the US could take very strict measures against Iran, describing the process as moving in a positive direction for Washington.
The ongoing regional volatility underscores the fragile security architecture in the Middle East, where Israel consistently maintains its doctrine of preemptive defense and deterrence against perceived threats from Tehran and its proxies.
