Iraola wants Liverpool to sign Araujo permanently

Spanish coach and Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola is satisfied with the performances of Ronald Araujo, who joined the club on loan from Barcelona.

"Operative Information Center-OMM", citing insider Ekrem Konur, reports that Iraola insists on signing the Uruguay international on a permanent basis.

Araujo’s contract includes a €55 million purchase option.

Liverpool’s management will consider the possibility of signing the defender next summer.

Araujo has made five appearances for the club in the English Premier League this season and has received one yellow card.

After five league rounds, Iraola’s team sits sixth in the standings.

The potential move would give Liverpool the opportunity to retain a defender who has already become part of the team’s rotation. A permanent transfer would depend on the club’s assessment of his performances and the €55 million purchase clause.
