The United States’ excessive and unconstructive demands continue to pose serious obstacles to dialogue aimed at reaching a diplomatic agreement between Washington and Tehran.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei made the remarks at a news conference in Tehran.
Baghaei called official diplomatic messages received from the United States “insufficient and incomplete.” He said Tehran remained committed to seven previously announced key conditions for resolving its conflict with Washington and the maritime transport crisis in the Strait of Hormuz.
The conditions include the immediate lifting of the naval blockade, a halt to military operations “on all fronts” and the removal of economic restrictions imposed on Iran.
Earlier, U.S. Ambassador to Türkiye and special envoy of President Donald Trump, Thomas Barrack, said Washington intended to reach a comprehensive peace agreement with Tehran.
