Getafe president Angel Torres has said that 40-year-old Spanish centre-back Sergio Ramos is on the club’s list of potential signings. AS reported Torres’ remarks, citing an interview he gave on Radio Nacional.
“His brother, who is his agent, spoke to me. He is on the list of possible signings. He could join the team. We have been working on this for some time,” Torres said.
According to the club president, head coach Jose Bordalas is prioritising strengthening the wings in attack. The squad already has six experienced centre-backs.
Getafe have already signed former Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal. Ramos’ most recent club was Monterrey, which he left in January 2026. The defender has also played for Real Madrid, Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Transfermarkt, Ramos is valued at 800,000 euros.
