Barcelona defender Jules Kounde has set a record among French players for appearances with the club. He made his 194th appearance for the Catalan side in a Spanish league match against Getafe. Barcelona won 3-0, with Kounde contributing a goal.
The 27-year-old surpassed Eric Abidal, who previously held the record. Kounde has played for Barcelona since the summer of 2022, when he joined the Catalan club from Sevilla.
During his time at the club, the defender has scored 10 goals and provided 22 assists in all competitions. Kounde has won seven trophies with Barcelona, including three La Liga titles, three Spanish Super Cups and the national cup.
