Garabagh FK has achieved its 60th large-score away victory in the history of the Azerbaijan championships, marking a significant milestone in the nation's football history.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Professional Football League, the Aghdam club reached this jubilee during the 29th round of the Misli Premier League. Facing Neftchi as the visiting team, the Garabagh squad secured three points with a commanding 5-1 victory. Currently, Garabagh holds the record for both the total number of large-score victories in the tournament and the highest number of such wins achieved on opponent territory.
The club's first-ever large-score away victory in the national championship was recorded on June 29, 1992. In that match, the visitors defeated Shirvan of Kurdamir with a 3-0 scoreline. As the most successful club in Azerbaijan, Garabagh FK continues to dominate the domestic league while frequently representing the country in the group stages of European competitions. The club, which represents the liberated city of Aghdam, remains a symbol of sporting excellence and national pride in Azerbaijan.
