The European Union (EU) Delegation to Azerbaijan has extended its congratulations to the country on the occasion of Independence Day.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the diplomatic mission shared the official congratulatory message on the "X" social media platform.
"Happy Independence Day, Azerbaijan! The European Union and Azerbaijan continue to strengthen cooperation in energy, transport connectivity, trade, and the 'green transition.' Over the 30 years of our partnership, we have worked together to build a more connected, resilient, and prosperous future based on mutual respect," the statement read.
The EU-Azerbaijan partnership has significantly deepened in recent years, particularly following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on a Strategic Partnership in the Field of Energy in 2022. This agreement solidified Azerbaijan's role as a key energy supplier to the European market, while broader cooperation continues to expand into infrastructure projects, including the development of the Middle Corridor, which aims to enhance trade connectivity between Europe and Asia.
