Ərdoğan: İran-İsrail müharibəsi dayansın!

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has issued a stern warning, stating that the conflict between Iran and the Israel-US alliance must be halted before it engulfs the entire region.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that this statement was made during a meeting of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP). The Turkish leader expressed deep concern over the escalating violence, noting that the region is increasingly defined by conflict and instability.

The head of state emphasized that the military strikes against Iran are driving up global oil prices and posing significant threats to the global economy. "The entire world is affected by these developments. Turkey does not turn its back on friendly and brotherly nations during such difficult times," Erdogan stated, adding that diplomatic efforts are ongoing to bring the parties back to the negotiating table.

The current escalation follows military operations launched by the US and Israel against Iran on February 28. These operations resulted in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking officials. In response, Iran has targeted locations in Israel as well as areas hosting US and allied military bases in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, and Cyprus.

This regional crisis comes at a pivotal time for international relations, as US President Donald Trump has maintained a firm stance on Middle Eastern security since taking office in January 2025. The involvement of major global powers and the strategic importance of the Persian Gulf's energy corridors have placed the international community on high alert, with many nations calling for restraint to prevent a total collapse of regional security frameworks.
