Egnatia beat Vora 5-1 at home in the 11th round of the Albanian championship. Azerbaijan national team defender Zamiq Aliyev did not take the field and watched the match from the bench.
In the match in the city of Rrogozhine, Altin Kryeziu scored for the hosts in the 35th minute, followed by Daniel Adessja in the 73rd, Fernando Medeiros in the 80th, Redi Kasa in the 85th and Alessandro Albanese in the 90th. Bernard Karritsa scored Vora’s only goal in the 69th minute.
The win took Egnatia to 27 points and strengthened its lead in the Albanian Superliga. The team has won nine and lost two of its 11 matches. Second-placed Teuta has 20 points, while Vora is eighth with 12.
