The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reaffirmed Beijing's commitment to its relations with Thailand, emphasizing support for the neighbor's sovereign development.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian expressed his country's support for the neighboring state during a press conference.
The spokesperson stated that as a close and friendly neighbor, China fully supports Thailand in choosing a development path that suits its own national conditions.
Lin Jian also noted that Beijing is interested in maintaining stability and ensuring sustainable progress in the country. He emphasized that the bond between the two nations remains a priority for China's regional diplomacy.
Diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries continue to evolve at the level of a strategic partnership. In recent years, China and Thailand have significantly expanded cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, focusing on infrastructure projects such as the China-Thailand high-speed railway. This partnership reflects a broader trend of deepening integration between China and members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), where Thailand plays a pivotal role as a founding member and a major regional economy.
