The buses operating on regular route number 119 are being replaced, according to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency.
Starting June 1, the vehicles serving the route connecting the city of Khirdalan with the Memar Ajami metro station in Baku will be upgraded to improve service quality.
A total of 20 new buses will be deployed on the route, operating with a headway of 5-6 minutes to ensure efficient passenger transport. Payment on these buses will be exclusively cashless, with the fare set at 0.60 AZN.
The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency, which operates under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, has been actively working to modernize the public transport fleet across the country. These upgrades are part of a broader initiative to enhance urban mobility, reduce traffic congestion, and transition public transit systems toward cashless payment solutions, which improves transparency and operational efficiency.
