Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the call.
During the conversation, Bayramov offered his condolences to Araghchi on the death of his sister and wished patience to the bereaved family and relatives.
The ministers discussed the current state of relations between Azerbaijan and Iran and prospects for their development.
They also exchanged views on the situation in the region and security issues. They noted the importance of ensuring regional peace, stability and security, strengthening mutual trust, and expanding opportunities for regional cooperation.
The ministers also exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest.
