In the first seven months of this year, the state budget of Azerbaijan recorded revenues of 23.5947 billion manats, while expenditures amounted to 20.1744 billion manats.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, which cited data from the State Statistical Committee, these figures represent an increase of 0.5% and 1.2% respectively compared to the same period last year.

As a result, the state budget concluded with a surplus of 3.4203 billion manats. While this indicates a robust fiscal position, the surplus is 3.3% lower than the figure recorded one year ago.

The state budget surplus is a critical indicator of Azerbaijan's fiscal health, reflecting the government's ability to manage national revenues—largely driven by the energy sector and non-oil economic diversification efforts—against public spending requirements. Maintaining a budget surplus allows the Republic of Azerbaijan to strengthen its strategic reserves, fund ongoing reconstruction projects in the liberated territories of Garabagh, and ensure macroeconomic stability amidst global economic fluctuations.
