The leaders of the member states share the position that the role and place of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in the international arena should be strengthened. All the necessary opportunities exist for this, they believe.
"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks while receiving security chiefs from the OTS member states.
"The potential of our countries is quite substantial and continues to grow. We are located across a very broad geographical area," the head of state added.
The Organization of Turkic States brings together countries linked by historical, cultural and linguistic ties. Its agenda includes cooperation in political, economic, security, transport and humanitarian areas.
