In January-July this year, the average monthly nominal salary of employees in Azerbaijan rose by 7.2% year on year to 1,177 manats.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports this, citing the State Statistics Committee.
According to the report, average monthly nominal salaries were higher in mining, financial and insurance activities, information and communications, professional, scientific and technical activities, and transportation and warehousing.
Nominal wages refer to earnings measured at current prices, without adjusting for inflation. Salary levels vary across sectors depending on qualification requirements, productivity and the structure of employment.
