Azerbaijani special forces hold joint training in Pakistan

Azerbaijani and Pakistani forces carried out joint tactical maneuvers. The exercise involved special operations units from both countries.

A group of Azerbaijani Naval Forces personnel took part in a joint special operations forces exercise in Pakistan.

The Ministry of Defense provided the information to the Operative Information Center-OMM.

According to the “Protocol of the 12th Azerbaijan-Pakistan Working Group-Level Meeting,” signed between Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense and the Pakistan Armed Forces Headquarters, special forces personnel in the exercise in Karachi carried out tasks involving the rescue of a ship seized by terrorist groups, the freeing of hostages and diving operations.

The exercise aimed to facilitate the exchange of experience in conducting special operations between Azerbaijani and Pakistani service members, familiarize participants with the participating countries’ standard operating procedures, adapt live-fire and maritime operations to realistic combat conditions, and coordinate cooperation during counterterrorism operations.

Azerbaijani Naval Forces personnel successfully completed all assigned tasks with a high level of professionalism, working in coordination with their Pakistani counterparts in line with the exercise plan.

At the end of the exercise, participants received certificates and posed for commemorative photographs.
