According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the squad, led by head coach Aykhan Abbasov, faced the San Marino national team in a competitive fixture.
The match took place at the Haladas Stadium in Szombathely, Hungary. Azerbaijan's goals were scored by Rahman Dashdamirov in the 27th minute and Renat Dadashov in the 49th minute, securing the win for the team.
This result serves as a recovery for the national side, which had previously suffered a 2-0 defeat against Malta in their opening friendly match of the current training cycle.
