The Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran has issued a notice to citizens seeking to return to Azerbaijan.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the embassy shared the information on its account on the “X” social media platform.
“In connection with the cancellation of scheduled passenger flights from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani citizens currently in Iran are advised that those who purchased air tickets to return to Azerbaijan but cannot do so because of the flight cancellations should contact the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic of Iran or the Consulate General in Tabriz. The diplomatic missions will assist citizens in returning via the land border crossings operating between Azerbaijan and Iran and help ensure their return. Azerbaijani citizens who purchased tickets to Azerbaijan from Iranian airlines are advised to contact the airlines’ sales offices to request refunds for their tickets.
