The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan has extended its congratulations to Israel on the occasion of the country's 78th Independence Day.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the ministry shared a congratulatory message on its official account on the X social media platform. "We sincerely congratulate the government and people of Israel on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day. Happy Independence Day, Israel!" the post stated.
Azerbaijan and Israel maintain strong bilateral relations characterized by a strategic partnership across various sectors, including energy, defense, and technology. The two nations have historically shared deep cultural ties, particularly through the Jewish community in Azerbaijan, which is recognized as one of the oldest and most integrated in the region. Diplomatic relations between Baku and Tel Aviv were established in 1992, and the opening of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Israel in 2023 further strengthened the diplomatic and economic bonds between the two states.
