Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have discussed the further development of energy relations, focusing on strategic cooperation and investment opportunities.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov shared the details on his X social media account. "We held discussions on the development of our energy ties with a delegation led by the Minister of State at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed bin Mubarak Al-Hajeri. Within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between our countries, we reviewed the current status and development prospects of cooperation in oil and gas, renewable energy, energy efficiency, regional energy corridors, and logistics," the minister stated.
The partnership between Azerbaijan and the UAE has intensified significantly in recent years, particularly in the green energy sector. Major Emirati companies, such as Masdar, are playing a pivotal role in Azerbaijan's transition to renewable energy, including the development of large-scale solar and wind power projects. This collaboration aligns with Azerbaijan's national strategy to diversify its energy mix and establish itself as a key supplier of green energy to international markets through regional corridors.
