Biography
Rovshan Murvat oglu Rustamov was born on October 6, 1980, in the village of Jafarly, Imishli District.
From 2002 to 2004, he wrote analytical articles on economic topics for print media. From July 2004, he worked at Azerpost LLC as an economist, deputy head of department and head of department. From February 2012, he was a chief corporate governance specialist at Azercosmos OJSC, and from 2012 to 2014, he served as an adviser on corporate governance. In 2014, he was awarded the “Progress” Medal.
On June 4, 2018, by order of the President, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of Azercosmos OJSC; on June 14, 2021, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies. On October 26, 2022, he was relieved of his position as Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport and, on the same day, by order of the President, was appointed Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways Closed Joint-Stock Company.
