Good to know
- How much does charging cost?
- On the networks’ own maps a kWh costs —–— manat — this is what the driver pays. The 12.5 qəpik/kWh set by the Tariff Council (VAT included, decision № 19, 29.12.2024) is the price the station itself pays for electricity from the grid.
- Which connector fits my car?
- Cars imported from China mostly charge with GB/T (GB/T DC for fast charging), European cars with CCS2 and Type 2, older Japanese models with CHAdeMO. The connector depends on the market the car was sold for, not on the brand.
- How long does fast charging take?
- At a DC charger of 40 kW or more an average battery usually goes from 20% to 80% in 30–60 minutes. At an AC charger (7–22 kW) it takes a few hours — for overnight or the working day.
- How do I pay?
- Each network has its own app: iVolt, Charge.az, Electrify, Azerishiq VEP and others. Scan the QR code on the charger with the app and pay by bank card.
Plug types
-
GB/T DCDC
The Chinese standard's fast (DC) plug. EVs made for the Chinese market — BYD, Zeekr, Li Auto, Changan and others — charge fast with it.
-
CCS2DC
The European standard's fast (DC) plug. Cars made for the European market: Volkswagen ID, Hyundai, Kia, BMW, Mercedes-Benz EQ, the European Tesla.
-
GB/T ACAC
The Chinese standard's slow (AC) plug, mostly up to 7 kW. Chinese-market cars' inlet for overnight and long stops.
-
Type 2AC
The European standard's slow (AC) plug, up to 22 kW. The top half of a CCS2 inlet is Type 2, so a CCS2 car charges from Type 2 too.
-
CHAdeMODC
The Japanese standard's fast (DC) plug: Nissan Leaf, older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Rare on new models.
Cars made for the US market (Type 1, CCS1, Tesla NACS) do not fit most stations here and may need an adapter. Check which plug your car has with the seller or in its registration papers.

The list is built from AYNA’s register of charging stations, the networks’ own maps, Open Charge Map and OpenStreetMap, and is updated daily. Points closer than 100 metres are counted as one station. Where the register gives no connector type, the card says “connector not listed”.
