Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has delivered a significant address to the British Parliament as part of his official visit to London, issuing a stern warning regarding the growing military cooperation between Moscow and Tehran.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing foreign media outlets, Zelenskyy spoke following a meeting with Prime Minister Keir Starmer, where he characterized Russia and Iran as "brothers in hatred." He specifically highlighted that the Tehran regime has been supplying Moscow with Shahed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) used to target and strike Ukrainian cities.
During the high-level talks, the two leaders reached an agreement on a new defense partnership aimed at increasing the production and supply of drones. Additionally, the British government announced it would allocate 500,000 pounds for the establishment of an artificial intelligence center in Kyiv. Prime Minister Keir Starmer emphasized that escalating tensions in the Middle East must not divert global attention from Ukraine, asserting that Russian President Vladimir Putin cannot be allowed to benefit from these conflicts, particularly regarding oil prices or the potential easing of sanctions.
Zelenskyy's visit to London is a key component of a broader European tour designed to refocus international diplomatic and military support on Ukraine amid shifting global headlines. Since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022, the United Kingdom has remained one of Ukraine's most steadfast allies, providing billions of pounds in military aid, including long-range missiles and tank squadrons, while consistently advocating for stronger international sanctions against the Kremlin.
