Zelenski: Netanyahu Rusiya və Ukrayna arasında balans saxlayır

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is attempting to maintain a balance between Russia and Ukraine, despite Moscow's growing alliance with Tehran.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made these remarks during an interview with the N12 television channel, responding to questions regarding whether the Israeli leader sides with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"I get the impression that Netanyahu is always trying to find a balance between Russia and Ukraine, even when it is obvious that Russia is helping Iran. He is the prime minister and must make decisions," Zelensky stated. The Ukrainian leader noted that this cautious approach is the reason why there are currently no Ukrainian specialists in Israel capable of destroying Iranian drones. He emphasized that "everything depends on Israel" and suggested that if "help is needed," the issue should be explained transparently, adding that both nations have mutual needs and remain open to dialogue.

The relationship between Israel and Ukraine has been a subject of intense diplomatic scrutiny since the beginning of the conflict. Israel has consistently provided humanitarian aid and medical assistance to Ukraine but has remained hesitant to supply lethal weaponry or advanced air defense systems, such as the Iron Dome. This policy is largely attributed to Israel's strategic security interests in Syria, where Russia maintains a significant military presence and controls the airspace. Maintaining a deconfliction mechanism with Moscow is considered vital for the Israeli Air Force to conduct operations against Iranian-backed proxies near its borders.
