The leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, led by Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, participated in the "World Defense Show 2026" international defense industry exhibition held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the Ministry of Defense that the delegation reviewed the latest samples of modern weaponry, military equipment, aviation, and flight systems. During the visit, Zakir Hasanov held meetings with Saudi Arabia's Defense Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman, and several heads of international defense companies. The discussions focused on military-technical cooperation, the application of innovative technologies, and other matters of mutual interest. Azerbaijan's defense industry was represented at the stand of the "Azersilah" Defense Industry Holding CJSC, which showcased products from both state-owned and private Azerbaijani companies, including advancements in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
The World Defense Show is recognized as a premier global platform for the defense industry, bringing together leading international companies to demonstrate innovative technologies and foster strategic partnerships. Azerbaijan's active participation in such forums highlights the country's commitment to modernizing its military capabilities and expanding its domestic defense production.
