The Yemeni army carried out 414 precision operations against the Houthis’ military reinforcements and capabilities over the past 24 hours.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the statement was made by Yemeni army spokesperson Majid al-Nuzayli.
He said government forces had used modern and varied means during operations on different fronts.
According to al-Nuzayli, the operations neutralized numerous Houthi personnel and pieces of military equipment.
No statement from Houthis
The Houthis have not yet commented on the Yemeni army’s statement.
Yemen’s civil war began after the Houthis seized control of the capital, Sana’a, and several provinces in September 2014.
The Saudi-led Arab Coalition has supported Yemen’s internationally recognized government since March 2015.
Reports say the most extensive clashes since the relative calm that followed a ceasefire reached in April 2022 on the Taiz, Marib, Al Jawf, Al Bayda and Lahij fronts have taken place since early July 2026.
Fighting intensified during September. The Houthis are reported to have taken control of a number of important locations in the provinces of Hudaydah and Taiz, including the strategic city of Al Mokha and Mayyun Island in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
