Weather forecast: Rain and thunderstorms expected in Azerbaijan

On May 29, weather conditions across Azerbaijan are expected to be unstable, with rain forecast in several regions. The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has released the latest forecast.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be variably cloudy and mostly dry throughout the day. However, rain is anticipated in some areas by the evening. By nightfall, there is a possibility of short-term intensification of precipitation and lightning. Fog is expected in the morning and at night. A southeast wind will shift to a strong northwest wind toward the evening.

Temperatures in the capital will range from 17-20°C at night to 22-27°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure is expected to drop from 756 mm to 750 mm of mercury, with relative humidity between 60-75%.

Across the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather will be largely dry, though intermittent rain is expected to begin in the northern and western districts during the day. In some areas, precipitation may become intense and accompanied by lightning and hail, with snow possible in high mountainous regions. Fog is expected in some areas during the night and morning, accompanied by occasional strong westerly winds.

Temperatures in the regions will range from 16-19°C at night to 26-31°C during the day. In mountainous areas, temperatures will be 7-12°C at night and 16-21°C during the day, reaching up to 23-26°C in some locations.

The National Hydrometeorological Service, which operates under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, provides regular updates to ensure public safety and agricultural planning, as the country experiences diverse climatic zones ranging from subtropical to alpine.
