Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior commented after the club’s La Liga match against Villarreal in the eighth round. The Madrid side won 1-0, with the Brazilian sent off for pulling an opponent’s hair.
Vinicius came on as a substitute in the second half. He scored shortly before receiving the red card, but the goal was ruled out after a VAR review determined that the forward had committed a foul in the buildup.
“The joy continues. I apologize to my teammates and the fans,” Vinicius wrote on his social media account.
