A vessel was attacked at a port in Bahrain after being struck by two unidentified projectiles, according to the latest report from the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).

The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Al Jazeera, reports that details of the incident were published on the UKMTO official website. The strike resulted in a fire breaking out on the deck of the ship.

Official statements confirm that the situation is currently under control. "The fire has been completely extinguished, and the vessel is currently at the port. All crew members have been evacuated from the ship, and there is no threat to their lives," the report stated.

Bahrain, a key maritime hub in the Persian Gulf, hosts significant international naval presence, including the U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet. Security in the region's waters remains a high priority for global trade, as the area serves as a vital corridor for energy supplies. This incident follows a period of heightened maritime tensions in the Middle East, prompting increased vigilance from international monitoring agencies like the UKMTO to ensure the safety of commercial shipping lanes.
