US President Donald Trump has officially invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit Washington on September 24, signaling a potential new phase in diplomatic relations between the world's two largest economies.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing foreign media, the invitation was extended during a banquet hosted by Xi Jinping in Beijing in honor of the US leader's visit. "I have the honor of extending an invitation to you and Madame Peng (Peng Liyuan - Xi Jinping's spouse) to visit us in the United States on September 24," US President Donald Trump stated.

The US President further noted that the sides held highly productive negotiations during his current stay in Beijing, emphasizing that both leaders had "valuable" opportunities to discuss a wide range of global and bilateral issues. He expressed his gratitude for the "magnificent" reception he received in China. US President Donald Trump is currently on an official visit to China from May 13-15.

High-level state visits between the United States and China are traditionally viewed as pivotal moments for global geopolitical stability and international trade. Such meetings provide a platform for addressing complex issues including economic cooperation, regional security, and climate initiatives. This upcoming September meeting in Washington is expected to build upon the dialogue established during the current summit in Beijing, further defining the strategic trajectory of US-China relations under the Trump administration.
