An MQ-9 Reaper armed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) belonging to the United States has been destroyed in the skies over Iran's Isfahan province.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Iranian media outlets, that the MQ-9 Reaper was intercepted and shot down by the country's integrated air defense network while operating over Isfahan.

In a separate incident, Iranian defense systems reportedly neutralized a "Lucas" drone near Kharg Island. According to official claims, the Lucas UAV is a model produced by the United States based on the design of the Iranian "Shahed-136" kamikaze drone. Following these latest interventions, the total number of US and Israeli drones reportedly downed by Iran's integrated air defense systems across the country has reached 168.

The MQ-9 Reaper is a primary surveillance and strike asset for the US military, capable of long-endurance, high-altitude missions. Isfahan is a strategically significant region in Iran, housing several critical infrastructure sites, including nuclear facilities and major airbases. These incidents occur amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing surveillance activities in the Middle East, where the use of unmanned systems has become a central component of modern electronic and aerial warfare.
