The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has released an official statement regarding recent air operations conducted against military targets within Iran. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, CENTCOM confirmed that approximately 90 military targets were neutralized during operations on July 8.

Official reports indicate that the strikes successfully incapacitated critical infrastructure, including air defense systems, coastal surveillance posts, and storage facilities for missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Furthermore, logistical centers and infrastructure belonging to Iranian naval forces were also destroyed.

These operations represent a continuation of strikes that commenced on July 7. During the initial phase, approximately 80 military targets were engaged, including the destruction of over 60 fast-attack boats belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Washington stated that these military actions were a direct response to Iran's violation of ceasefire protocols, specifically citing attacks on three commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The US administration has signaled its intent to maintain military pressure on Tehran in response to these provocations.

CENTCOM officials emphasized that US forces in the region remain in a state of high readiness and are prepared to conduct further operations in accordance with the directives of US President Donald Trump. The Strait of Hormuz remains a critical global maritime chokepoint, through which a significant portion of the world's oil supply passes, making security in the region a primary concern for international maritime trade and global energy stability.
