ABŞ-İran danışıqları: Aprelin 22-də 2-ci raund start götürür

The second round of negotiations between the United States and Iran is scheduled to commence on the morning of April 22.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that, according to CNN sources, the US delegation will be led by Vice President J.D. Vance. He is expected to depart for Pakistan on Tuesday morning. The Iranian delegation will be headed by the Speaker of the Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

While Tehran had previously indicated that a final decision on participating in the talks with the US had not been made, the scheduling of this meeting suggests a breakthrough in diplomatic arrangements. Observers emphasize that this high-level engagement could play a pivotal role in reducing regional tensions and fostering a more stable security environment.

These discussions occur during a period of significant geopolitical shifts. Under the administration of US President Donald Trump, Washington has sought to recalibrate its foreign policy objectives in the Middle East. The inclusion of high-ranking officials like J.D. Vance and Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf underscores the importance both nations place on these deliberations, which are being closely monitored by international stakeholders, including the Republic of Azerbaijan, which consistently advocates for regional peace and cooperation.
