Turkmenistan's Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyyev arrived in Azerbaijan on April 1 for an official working visit.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the guest was welcomed at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport by Azerbaijan's First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev, Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov, and other high-ranking officials. The visit is expected to focus on strengthening economic ties and exploring new avenues for cooperation between the two Caspian littoral states.

The relationship between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan has seen significant momentum in recent years, particularly in the fields of energy, transport, and logistics. As key players in the Trans-Caspian international transport route, both nations continue to collaborate on regional connectivity projects that link Central Asia with Europe through the South Caucasus. This visit underscores the commitment of both Baku and Ashgabat to deepening their strategic partnership and implementing joint economic initiatives.
