The government of Türkiye has officially announced its readiness to host the next round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. This initiative underscores Ankara's ongoing commitment to facilitating a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the report originated from a source within government circles, as cited by the RIA Novosti news agency. The source indicated that Ankara has conveyed relevant messages to both Moscow and Kyiv, expressing its preparedness to take all necessary steps to ensure that new talks are convened as soon as possible. The Turkish leadership maintains that the restoration of direct dialogue is essential for a peaceful settlement and remains dedicated to continuing its mediation mission.

It should be noted that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has previously engaged in intensive discussions with Western leaders regarding the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. Ankara continues to maintain active diplomatic contacts to bring the parties back to the negotiating table. Türkiye has historically played a pivotal role in mediation efforts, most notably hosting the Istanbul peace talks in early 2022, which served as a significant platform for early diplomatic engagement between the warring parties.
